LGBTQIA+ young people and respect

Healthwatch Kent were honoured to be a part of BeYou’s ‘Big Day Out’ event in Maidstone last year.

The day was tailored towards LGBT+ young people, and was jam packed with activities, entertainment and snacks!

We spoke to the young people about respect, more specifically where they felt the most and least respected. The feedback we gathered gives us a snapshot of where this group feels safe, and where they feel like they can’t fully be themselves.
