Substance misuse and mental health services

We have published a case study led report together with Healthwatch Medway on the experiences of those with substance misuse issues on accessing mental health services.

Working with Healthwatch Medway we have produced a report on the experience of Mental Health Services from those with Drug or Alcohol issues.

The report is comprised of a case study of an older person living in Medway who has been unable to access a dementia assessment due to drinking and the impact that has had on their living situation. 

The report also includes a breakdown of feedback gathered by Healthwatch Kent and Healthwatch Medway on the issue.

The report has been presented at the Medway and Swale Local Mental Health Network (LHMN).
