Patient experiences at Coleman House, Dover

21 January 2019

Throughout 2018, Healthwatch Kent and Healthwatch Medway visited 6 community mental health units.

As part of a series, we are releasing eight reports over the next few weeks to highlight our findings.

Healthwatch Kent visited Coleman House in Dover in October 2018 to hear from people using community mental health services. Most patients reported positive experiences, including good access to support, involvement in their care, and awareness of crisis services, although some raised concerns about appointment cancellations and delays in rebooking.

Our report includes recommendations to improve care planning and communication when appointments are cancelled.
